Getting ready to spray an m1a. Wanting to go with a sage green stock and matte black receiver but there seems to be alot of products on the market. What do I use groupthink?

I have a compressor whats the best way to apply this stuff without spending 200 bucks on an air gun

oops its an m305. Ill practice on a couple sticks first but Im sure I can make her pretty

I mean how hard could it be, right? :) heheh im cheap

IMO the best way to go is to get your gunsmith or someone who specializes in the application to do it for you since its not something you can just wipe off if it wasn't done properly.

I do understand your point, however I do enjoy, doing things myself, after all the pros started out somewhere too. :)
Anyone able to answer the question?

Interesting variety of responses. I might cheap just out and spray bomb this thing as I'll be replacing the stock anyway. Since Im new about this how about receiver painting? I can imagine the aperture sight and receiver parts not taking well to being painted. How do you smart folks work around this as I would like to camo the receiver as well.

cerokote - ordered from US, clean parts using denatured alcohol, then heat in oven to burn off all residuals - use an airbrush - works perfectly & lasts - pm me if you need details (I use it all the time)
