was wondering if anyone has used DuraCoat's Shake 'N Spray? If so, how did it turn out? Pictures welcome. I recently bought a Kar 98 circa 1918. It's all matching, sporterised, and the bluing is going south (i.e. almost non-existent) and I've noticed small surface rust dots in areas. I'd rather have it blued professionally, but I imagine that's extremely expensive. While I'm here, would I have rust problems if I polished the bolt to a silver shine? It currently has some bluing on it. This is the first time I've ever attempted to cosmetically "upgrade" a firearm before... so advice is more than welcome.
