Have been reloading for years but just started pistol rounds a few weeks ago. The only pistol powder I have is cfe pistol. With all of my jacketed loads it's great. Have been loading some drg 125 get though and notice that when fired I get a lot of dust shooting out. Is this normal with lead? I was thinking its un burnt powder but I'm already at the lowest recommended charge and it's still blowing dust. I should clarify the dust is right in front of the gun, not the cloud from the round hitting the backstop. Also it's light enough to hang in the air. So I'm wondering is that something you get with lead? Should I try going below the lowest starting charge? Also this is all 9mm.

dust or smoke? with bare lead there will be smoke from the lube burning and there will be some lead dust, but it shouldn't be alot.
