E-Callers - Foxpro vs. Wildlife Technologies

I took a day off to get a head start..

Alright alright, that's not me at all but WT's predator hunting expert Gary....

I was on a moose hunt in Cape breton in September.... the guide had a WT call.... It was absolutely haunting with the clarity and the volume... I swear anything within 5 miles was coming to that call after it bounced off the mountains.... great range for the remote.... a little bulky, but i am leaning towards one.... comes with 55 preloaded calls as well.... If there is anything within a few miles, it will come...

Is there a Canadian Distributor??? Or is it strictly state side??

Yeah, I just ordered one and will be calling moose with it too. The nice things is that they load the calls that you need not what happens to pre-loaded.

I ordered by email from the address on the website. Cant wait to receive it.

So far im looking at about 715$ US shipped with the coyote and Moose videos I chose the MA-21 model (55 calls ). You could get away with around 540$ shipped for the MA-15 and no videos which is not as loud (but probably louder than most callers out there).

So far the customer service is great, exchanged emails and a phone call with Bill and Gary (the guy in the picture I posted earlier). The whole predator hunting thing is going to be a pretty good learning curve but they seem really interested in the customer's success with their Product.

Ill post further feedback here once I receive the unit (likely next week).

I personally think both callers seem to be pretty much at par, with foxpro having a slight advantage in several areas:

I sense you are a huge fan of WT and have taken the blue pill, I on the other hand have never heard of WT until this topic started, and I am blissfully happy with my fury. I don't want anyone out there to make a decision on one of these units without having all the facts.

I wont do any real comparisons until I have both in front of me (I have a friend who owns a foxpro but I havent been out with him when he has the caller) but I have done my research and have communicated with people who have used both and it seems to be a clear concensus .

As far as Im concerned the Fury could of came with 1000 sounds but if they are all recordings of some guy with a hand caller then I can just pull out my primos lil dog and blow into a loud speaker.

just sayin.

Your right about the concensus being clear, Foxpro is the #1 rated caller, if you like the WT sounds so much you can always play them on a foxpro...... As for sound quality I assure you Foxpro's 2 speaker systems as opposed to WT's single horn will always have the upper hand, the ability to play 2 different sounds from 2 different types of speakers at the same time is revolutionary. Enjoy your WT I will enjoy my Foxpro.

PS: I can add up to 2 additional speakers to my unit, if I need more volume, or if I want to spend money of some kind of super speaker. Can you say the same??

We can argue all day....not much use without putting them side by side. You've never heard of the Mighty Atom but yet you are sure the Fury is better ?

Im also wondering what blue pill you are talking about ? Mass media ? Advertising.....there is next to none...I made my own research..and glad I did. I communicated with people who have used them and some who have used both......like the guy in the picture above.... who's been using one for 15 years.

You told me earlier in the thread to go big or go home and I did.

you don't need more volume then what the foxpro has in Ontario anyways....Whats the remote like? any issues with range? or are the buttons easy enough to push while wearing gloves? not a fan of my foxpro remote but I have the older one, the new one is a lot nicer.

The remote is great, had 2 pairs of gloves on worked without any issues.

Path, I'm simply trying to counter balance your agrument in favour of WT, I'm entitled to an optnion just like you are, and forgive me for agreeing with mass media, as opposed to the "men of the wild" you hang with. I'm an avrage guy who does this as a hobby, I don't need a pickup full of yotes and foxes to prove my manhood. A truckload will do that just fine (one day) ;) anyhow good luck to you.

Fair enough,

Neither of us are likely to get a truckload in ontario no matter what gear we use. I think there are other factors that go into predator hunting too....lots to learn.

I have to remind you that you did take up quite the challenge so we do expect a few pictures here and there ;)

I agree, perhaps 100 by spring in Ontario is a bit of wishful thinking, but I'll do my best, Dvxdude is up for a couple trips in January, we might do ok, I brought some in last weekend but couldn't get them to come in to the open as I spend too much time playing around with all the sounds, this weekend I'm camping out and using my sequences, also bought a new pair of binos

There's probably about as many men who have walked on the moon, as have called and killed 100 eastern coyotes in a season.:p Don't let that hold you back, though.:D

Oh ya, I believe the moon landings were faked.
