hi - i was wondering if anyone is familiar with/ used/ owned one of these rifles.
i have a line on one made in the mid 50's, gorgeous wood, 98% bluing, original open sights, drilled and tapped reciever for weaver mounts. cal. 30-06
mauser 98 action with the "flap" safety on the bolt. $400
i'm not too familiar with english firemarms. is this a fair price? it reminds me of parker hale rifles, only a better finish.
just curious............very curious.
thanks

Without seeing pics it is hard to tell if it is a rifle built on a surplus or new Commercial Mauser 98 action.

Is there a thumb cut-out on the left side of the action?

I have a very similiar gun maybee a bit newer. I am very happy with it.Mine is listed as made by churchill gunmakers ltd. Also a 306 mauser 98 what is the number on the barrel? Mine is 73410 this may be the production number? I paid 400 for mine in 1995
