Last week, I received the Eagle slip-on muzzle brake and have taken it to the range a few times already. My buddy brought his 597 and we compared each rifle.
I must say, it really does reduce recoil and muzzle jump. I also found that my rapid fire groups decreased in size. My friend had the same results.

The only problem I have is that it looks funny without a front sight attached and the setscrew sticks out from the bottom by about 3/32". With that said, I would recommend one to anyone who wants to reduce the muzzle jump of their 597.
