EAL 303 information, please

Update to the thread: The rifle arrived today and I am very happy with it. It has been oiled and sent to the gunroom, where it will spend the next few decades hiding out. Magazine is definitely the original. Bolt still has bluing on much of it, indicating not that many rounds fired out of it.
The rifle is not proofed, so it would appear that this is one of the civilian purchases of the military model. However, it will fill that hole in the 50s to 80s Canadian military rifles. There were still 163 of these in the two depots last time I checked in 2011 (46 in Edmonton and 117 in Montreal). Not sure they are used by the air force any more, more likely they have been forgotten in the depots by their LCMMs.

Funny how things work. i just got given a millitary style one that is mint mint. i doubt it has been fired. blueing is exceptional. it only has one small problem. ITS CUT IN HALF i almost cryed. so, if anyone has one that needs a good buttstock, bbl, sights i have a good doner. its been cut with a chopsaw 1" behind the chamber . i stripped it today for all its parts i could use, clean as can be inside. like i said, i almost cryed
Damn i am almost crying too!!

That is awful. :(

That s/n puts it right up in the military s/n range per Warren Wheatfield. I have yet to see a number that high.
