Yes EAL. That's the commercial version. Pistol grip area has been reshaped however forend looks untouched. Has correct front sight. Somebody got a great deal. Looks like it was snapped up in a wink of an eye.

Just out of curiosity, did the rangers ever use the commercial eal? I have one with the five round properly marked mag, but the 2-4 rear sight at the back of the reciever, it’s not for sale. Or did they possibly sell the five round commercially as well?

Locally the Rangers used a Enfield number one Mark III early 20s to 30s, they're actually still using them one guy asked me if I could take a look at the book and I fixed it up for him his spring was a little dead, but I replaced and cleaned it up, he was not sure why his boat was sticky this guy was a old-timer though, great guy

Wheaty could answer your question. He worked on those rifles.

I believe that civilian models could be ordered in several configurations, including the military model. There is a controversy as to where the cut off numbers were for designating the military order and which rifles were drilled and tapped for the Weaver scope and mount. Many were D&T but never had scopes mounted.
