I am looking at a military EAL (has open sight on the barrel).
The left receiver has 3 scope mound holes drilled in a line.
The only EALs I ever handled in the RCAF were survival rifles, none of which had scopes.
Did EALs on issue ever have scopes? I am thinking that maybe the Rangers did.
If an EAL had a a scope, what base was used? Where could I find one? And did that base use 3 holes in a straight line?
Maybe someone could post a picture of what the holes looked like for an offical scope base?
