Anybody here want to share pictures if their EAL rifles? I love these and it will help to learn more about these.
You can also join our eal group.

I am really interested in seeing eal in different calibers. I heard of .22, .22 hornet and 7,62x51 ones.

Cool - so could be a Ranger contract one.

Hope you don't mind some f/u questions...

Are there any other markings eg rack numbers etc?
Bolt serialized? (likely not but I have seen some like this)
Is the wrist stamped with the Canadian government inspector mark?
Is the barrel DCP proof mark or the "maple leaf" style proof?

Thanks

OK so looks like one of the Ranger buys based on the double proofs and serialized bolt.

Looks also to have the mil acceptance mark if I make it out correctly.

Not sure what the last pic is showing.

Maybe it is the pics but man does that rifle look like it was ridden hard! Do you know the back story on it?

Yes, ridden hard and put away wet. Bore is, as they say, dark with strong rifling. I've shot it. Improved the appearance of the bore somewhat.
The illegible photo is one I can't edit out.

Really interesting. Second one I have seen in the 6### with serialised bolt. I toughed the other one was not original. Look like they where serialising the bolts of these late ranger contracts ones.

Here’s mine. New to adding pictures, so hopefully the links works.

Thank you very much for sharing these pictures. I have not seen many early like yours.
Someone already seen a two digits one? My earliest one, if I remember, is 178.
