Was on the site WSS yesterday and i see a 1895M 450 brand new for 399.00, give them a call to ear from them that they had a few pre 2004 Ported 1895M 450 guide gun and they were cutting over 300.00 dollars on them 399.00 for a pre Remmy era, i bought one in a jiffy, Merry Chrismas for me... Cheer. JP.

I was looking at these, but was under the impression that .450 marlin reloading supplies were hard to find, or I might have bought one. I couldn't find any brass at all on the WSS website, but 45-70 brass was being offered by all manufactureres. Are you guys finding brass fairly easily for the .450?

they've also got a good deal on the 375 ruger Alaskan in diamondblack at 699

Big thanks...Went back on WSS site and i dont know how i missed this one, i am now a proud owner of a Ruger Alaskan 375 Diamondback, those price are fantastic... Cheers. JP.

and I just got a call saying they're not in stock and discontinued...so much for having a bunch they wanted to get rid of....grrrrr WSS

Guess i got the last two, i received a mail saying that my order as been process, i am safe because they already took the money on my Credit card... Cheers. JP

Got to shoot ( Marlin 1895M ) both lately and the accuracy with Leverevolution 325 gr is 3.5 to 4 inch at 100 metres with open sight, the ported barrel may reduce the recoil but i would not like to shoot one without the ports, the recoil is pretty stout, since both are pre-remmy era (2002) the finition is great and the action is very smooth... first 2 # of the serial are 98 ###xx, for 399.00 a piece brand new, i made a great deal... Cheers. JP.

Not to highjack, but get yourself a wildcat chambered in 458x2inch American. Then make your own brass from H&H Magnum discarded by non-reloaders at your local range. Yes the conversion dies from RCBS are a little pricey, but with totally free brass it will very soon pay for itself over & over again. Spend the money you saved on factory brass for bullets, primers, powder. Which we all know, are super abundant for a .458 diameter bore. With the wax and wane of "new" and improved factory cartridges, your properly supported wildcat with just lumber along quite nicely! ;)

I will primely reload for my Steyr BB 450M that i may take on my African Hunt, the 2 Marlin 1895M will be use mainly for plinking at the range... Thank Brutus, i will look into that 458X2, i am just discovering that great caliber... Cheers. JP.

The Leverevolution is very good ammo, out of my Steyr BB 450M, it was shooting everything in 1.5 inch or less, did not have my Oehler handy to check the # but i had the same POI than my Interlock reload of 350 gr @ 2350 fps, i suspect those are travelling easy 2300 fps, next time out i will check that out... Cheers JP.

That's strange that they don't shoot better than that.
Is it both of them shooting 4"?
Are there any rough spots when you run a patch through it?
Hopefully they will get better, the more they are "broken in"

Dont forget i was shooting open sights, my eyes are not what they use to be, in the summer i will scope one and find a load for it, i will transfert the bases and scope on to the other one an tailor a load as well, the one that produce the best group will keep the optics, the other one will stay open sight but those are no Steyr, sub moa easy with the bolt action... Cheers. JP.
