Wondering if anyone else went out? If so How did ya do?

I was at a buddies place up near Kingston, ended up getting 16 in the span of about 45 min! Turned out to be a great hunt!

It was super hot and ended up with 13 between the 3 of us. The birds were pretty wary for opening day, but that's enough bird cleaning for the day.

Got a pic somewhere, but too lazy to upload.

Still a great hunt, but could use less sun and bugs for september. Can't wait till the cool air starts rolling through.

Good to hear some guys had some luck! I didn't get out, work obligations, and the fields we have access to have not had the crops harvested...

Looking forward to getting out with Nos!

Cheers
Jay

First year in a while I didn't get out for the opener. We hunt fields only and so far there are no crops off to hunt in.

I'm hoping to do a tour tonight to see if they are landing in hay fields or if any of the crops are off yet. Hopefully beans or corn will come off soon and we will be set. Usually barley is our early season starter but none of the land we have permission on has any this year.

Rookie over here - went out to tiny marsh in Ontario on opening day was able to take down two of them. Got too excited went I saw the geese have to get more experience and stay calm lol so I can take more down next time.

Nice glad to hear you folks have had some luck! I'm watching thousands of snow geese fly about here lately ... huge flocks of white covering the eskers up here across from my cabin. HAPPY HUNTING guys/gals!

Went out solo on opening morning and got my limit of Canadas and a mallard in less than an hour on a partly combined wheat field. Went again today with 3 friends, we had 16 total. Pretty good by my standards.
