Easter Sale 2013

Just a heads up JR - the SSL (https://) portion of your web server doesn't appear to be working. That means any online orders (including the credit card #'s) are not encrypted. You should probably get your tech/web guys on this.

you are right....it is not working...TSE you better get on it

Of crap....I have to change the number on my credit card now....so much hassle:mad:

+1 on the service today guys! Called in my order, said I would pick it up and could everything be ready for me....and it was! In/out in under 10 minutes.

Already got a confirmation email and order # from Colin of sales about a hour ago, showing my order has be accepted.

Shall I still call in???

You want to call in if you have not put your credit card information on the website since the website is not secure. If you put in your information already than there is no point calling in.

Relax, if ur card is compromised all you have to do is keep an eye on the tranactions - the big companies will reimburse your card. Most cases they will shut it off before you even know its been stolen

Credit Card information comes to us broken up on two separate emails that must be matched up to orders. We don't receive the competed order in one go.

As J.R. said for orders, if you wish, when placed please call us with your order number to provide payment info.

Questions for orders can be sent to websales@theshootingedge.com, but please remember we are still dealing with lots of sale orders and product!

Does it make it harder for hacker to steal our info and match it then?

Not to mention, none of the payment information is stored on the website. With how we receive payment information as well, that being in multiple pieces, I dare say it would be quite a task for anyone of dubious purpose.

Hacking data in transit (man in the middle) is rare.

When it comes to e-commerce what matters is if the merchant retains your credit card information or not. It's much more likely that a site's database gets hacked than a single transaction gets intercepted.

Personally I wouldn't worry about a single unencrypted transmission of my credit card details.

When in just to check it out, couldn't pass on Ranch Hand for $519 though. Hard to walk away from the 119 lowers but this RH looks like it will be fun.
Not sure what they were cooking at the Farmers Market but it sure smelled good.

Way better deals at the shooting edge than at the gun show! Picked up a Fabarm and a couple cases of shells! A big thanks to the guys for scrounging parts up for me while the store was packed. Was really tempted to pick up one of those pink savage rascals on saturday when I was in with the little girl - but it may have to wait until she's at least three :)

Thanks for the great service as usual guys!

I just tried to sign on to your website to check the status of my order, and I received a warning message that your site is not secure from Trusteer.
