Fellow shooters,
The May 30 registration deadline for the 2ND Annual Eastern Regional Championships on the Connaught Ranges rapidly approaches and registration
confirmation seem a little low at moment.
I'm guilty of procrastination as my own registration is just leaving in todays mail.
Barry has done another tough job in organizing this event and even faced with
rescheduling has been able to pull this off.
It really would be great to see as many and more shooters turn out for this 2nd Annual as the first.
I'm posting this to remind those going and to encourage those who haven't thought about it,to make a commitment for a great weekend of shooting and get their registrations in.
Information and registration can be found here at
http://www.ncrra.yanbrand.com/index-6.html
For those who haven't attended, just take a look at the pics from the recent Victoria Day Matches .It's a world class range and definitely one worth experiencing.
Regards

Dammit- I was hoping to be able to take in and watch the next precision match.
Thats the time I'm in Alberta.

Well, that's the weekend that you can go next door to Saskatchewan and see the Western Regionals at Nokomis! Lots of shooting across this country!

Does anyone know if there is going to be an entry form for the Target Rifle section for that weekend. I do not see one on the NCRRA website. Thanks.

Was in touch with Barry (Match Director) and Match is a definite GO.
Still lots of room for more shooters so if you've been sitting on the fence thinking about it,
take the leap and book in your slot.
With barracks and mess pass available ,this is
a good deal for those that need to travel and a great chance to shoot on the world class ranges of Connaught.
For those who have already booked in , talk to your shooting friends and get them to come along to give it a try .
Hope to see you there....
Gord O

Another note from Barry states numbers are growing.....STILL MORE room available.
Not much time left...END OF THIS MONTH!!!Get registered NOWWW and not miss the fun.

Syxx15 and I will be there to shoot the NCRRA Long Range Match as lowly target rifle shooters. I already know some of you F'ers but looking forward to meeting the rest of you F'ers.

Better get everything working good and get you loads down pat,
shot with a fellow at Kingston, Vamplew was his name
he fired 100 shots at distances of 3,5,& 600y possible was 500 he did it, with 70 v bulls, never a shot out of bull

A nickname he has picked up is "the vee machine". He really is too - he is one of a very small number of topnotch TR shooters who consistently shoot unusually high V-counts.

And it doesn't matter which Vamplew you are talking about. I'll bet either one would give the F Class a good run for their money on the F Class target. They may not win, but they would be in the top 1/3 of the F Class.

that sounds like a very good challage to get some tr shooters to shoot on our fclass targets and see what happens,,,any of the tr guys willing to give it a try????/

If we take Des' 500 70V from Kingston and convert it to an F-class target (any non-V becomes a 4) he would have scored a 470 with probably a bunch of Vs. That would have been good enough for 3rd in F-TR or 2nd in F-O. That's pretty damned impressive.

Sounds like fun, but then f-class shooters have to shoot from the sling and not a 2.5 lb fancy bipod and 20 lb bag. This should be interesting too. Is anyone up to the challange?
Oleg.

Tell you what, just to make things fair if the F Class guys give up their front rest and bipods and actualy shoot off their elbow with a jacket and sling, I will shoot iron sights against their scoped rifles:p

Actually the Brit TR team did it one year here in Canada during the first World F Class Championship at Connaught. Their scores were not counted in with the F Class scores, but they did do very well.

I don't need to shoot at the F Class target to shoot 4's and 3's, I can do that all by myself on the regular huge TR targets, thank you very much;)
