I handled one today. Can anyone tell me who manufactured this rifle? It is not a Cooey. I don't recall if it is a repeater or not.

Thanks in advance! :)

Hate to be one of those kinda guys...but a picture, or pictures would be helpful. If you've handled it, I'm guessing it wasn't for a photo shoot though.

They are bolt repeaters using a box magazine (I have seen one ), and if pushed I'd suggest Savage(lakefield) whipped it up.

Trust me. It wasn't a good time for any photos. It may be a Savage, as it had that look about it. I'll try and get some pics another time.

You handled it, didn't take a picture, and you don't even tell us if it is a bolt action, semi, pump, etc, or repeater or not?

It was made by Find Out Yourself. :)

Sometimes, as in this case, there are circumstances that don't allow for taking pictures. Sorry to have bothered anyone with the question.

Thanks to the people who tried to help out.

Bah, don't listen to him. The rest of us have our curiosity piqued... More info!

^ I might be a whole lot of wrong ^...Any Chance it was a NAACO #10 single shot, made in Toronto? (I'm sure I recall a box mag though)

Sorry for the mess. Taking pics with an iPad. It is a single shot, and may very well be a NAACO. I have some leftovers from one that the wonderful RCMP cut up, so I will try to compare the pieces.

If it is a NAACO North American Arms Corporation it will be stamped on the plastic butt plate. So says the RCMP FRT. The Trueline #10 data doesn't give a manufacturer in the FRT.

Okay. The matter is settled. It is a NAACO Model 10. I just checked the leftovers from the chop job. The butt plate does not have NAACO stamped on it, but it is blank in the circle. All the rest matches. Simple as that.

I hope whoever authorized to have that rifle chopped up is proud of themselves. One of the scarcest Canadian built firearms has been destroyed. "Another gun off the street". I rescued a box of chopped up guns that a guy was going to melt down and make swords for karate practice or some such thing. Luckily, the bolt wasn't touched and I was able to give it to a fellow CGNer who needed it to bring a family heirloom back to life.
