Ebay Fake Scopes

I bought a Bushnell scope on ebay. See item #371905774167

Turned out to be a crappy Chinese scope. This was confirmed by Bushnell, who told me that have seen other fake scopes from China.

Ebay does not seem to care. I had assumed that ebay kept the fakes off their site.

A Fake $75 scope is one thing, but ebay dealers are selling fake Zeiss scopes, too.

Ebay has long been known to have fakes, unless they recently cracked down on them?. Amazon doesn't stand for fakes and is why you will see less items available. Don't get me wrong there will be fakes on Amazon also but when discovered you will have an easy optional refund and the product listing will be pulled.

That reticle is a tell tail sign. Also they seem to put illumination on everything. Which Bushnell has very small amount of scopes that are illuminated. 99% of scopes on Ebay are chinese.

There's a carl zeiss scope on Kijiji local thats a clear fake.

I was thinking of putting it on a 22. I put a cheap Chinese on a AR-15 and it fell apart from the massive recoil.

I noticed a few aimpoints on amazon for a decent price. Kept asking them if they were real aimpoints and the ads kept dissapearing.

With it claiming to be illuminated and a 2-6 it's no doubt fake. Not to mention a that crazy reticle...what's up with that?!? Ahhh well hopefully it works on a .22

Read a letter from Bushnell one time on identifying fake Bushnells and one of the main things was having the name and magnification horizontally like the one pictured. Real bushnells have the name around the rim of the bell.

The irony is that the components are probably the same in both scopes, or at lease originate from the same suppliers.

check out the wish website, or geek/wish website. Type in Zeiss and you can get $1500 scopes for $100. All fakes.
