EBay red dots and holographic scopes who has bought one?

Why?
Because the majority of the time I spend shooting is with my 22. On an average range day I might shoot 40- 60 .308, then 100-200 .223/556 and 200+ 9mm. But I always go through close to 1000 22lr every time I take it out. I spend the majority of my time shooting it. Plus it's the first gun I grab when I'm going to a friends to go plinking. That's why I didn't mind spending what I did on my SR22, I never have any issues with it.

So which ebay optics have you had experience with?

Is it actually fiber optic illuminated? I've kinda been eyeing these up but my experience with Chinese red dots tells me Id be better off giving the money away to someone more deserving.

Yup it's fiber optic illuminated. Comes in either green or red.

So wait, you spent 160 on an ebay scope not even knowing if it was any good? Did you research it or just hope it was good?

A bit of both. I found some videos on Youtube of guys mounting it on 22's and 223's, and most all of them had good reviews. Also read up on a few different forums and on past sales on the eBay sellers feedback of the same item.

I had purchased a rifle with the a fake Trijicon Acog last year and the thing could not be properly sighted-in, would not turn off, didn't hold zero and then once batteries where removed and put back in (to turn it off), never came back on.

I now use it as a paper weight.

I have a $40 Aimpoint T1 on my Thureon .45 acp.
Bright enough for outdoors. ..tough enough for the .45.
It stays zeroed.

I have used it on a few ar15s too. Works fine.
