I plan to drag a TRG42 338 Lapua fited with Sako brake. The rifle alone measure 47 inches without the brake.
Do I choose the small or long sniper sled ?
I'm afraid that the small one might be too small, tight.

Do some of you can help me ?

Get the E2B model, overall length is 52". With the muzzle brake you shouldn't exceed 49", which should be fine for the interior of the bag. Most bags lose about 1 to 2 inches in the interior when they state the exterior dimensions. I once bought an oversized bag because I wasn't sure...way too much room inside, felt sloppy. If you read Eberlestocks's ads the E2B is fitted for a McMillan 50. Your TRG42 should fit. I am a user of their products, and very happy with them.

Thank you Terry to have taken the time to answer.
I"ll go with the short one .

How is the comfort while hiking to shooting place. In my neck of wood I often have to walk a little to get somewhere quiet and peacefull or take the ATV or sled (in the winter).

The backpack attachment is very nice and supports much of the bag well, and balances a heavy rifle.
It is easily removed when you're not using it as well.
It's the only one I will buy now.

Okay guys, school me on these things. My shooting partner and I are looking for a backpack that will carry our rifles, I shoot a Remington 700 semi custom with 26" barrel and sportier stock, he shoots a Tikka T3 Sporter. We will need to carry other gear as well, not much just rear bags, water, mats, etc. I have never owned such a back pack and I am just starting my research. Eberlestock has come to the front running very quickly but I know nothing about them. We will each get our own, and money isn't really an issue if they are a good product. Oh yeah, we are going to be running with these so we need something very stable.

Thanks.

Eberlestock offers hunting and tactical rigs that should suit you. You just have to choose which one is right for you. I have the X3-LoDrag pack. Big enough for an oversized tactical rifle, but the straps pull in snug to prevent the load from moving around. Quality is there, just make the right choice. Don't forget to check out other companies...you never know.

These are a drag bag with a backpack shoulder harness that can attach to it vs. a true backpack.
Eberlestock does make a few models of real backpacks suitable for carrying rifles such as the 'Gunslinger'.
I don't have any experience with the backpacks however am also in the market for one for which I will likely look at their products first.

Gunslinger Phantom Pack here. I wouldn't look at another manufacturer again. They are all that. I also wish I could use mine more. I need to win the lottery so don't have to work all the damn time.

You soon forget about the price when you see the quality and time put into designing them.

"Choice of professional military and police snipers (NYPD ESU) all over the world. The Eberlestock's G3M Phantom has been awarded a PERFECT SCORE... "5" in EVERY CATEGORY by the National Tactical Officer Association's "Member Tested and Recommended" evaluators."
