I am looking at one serial number 1146###. It is complete and appears to be in almost new condition. Other than the manufacturer (Eddystone) and serial number on the receiver ring the only marks it has are the date just back of the front sight..11-18 with a large 'E" and in the wood back of the trigger guard are impressed 9G over 014 and a flaming bomb symbol. The bolt has no numbers apparent. There do not appear to be any marks indicating military issue anywhere on the stock or metal. Bore cleaned up looking excellent. My question is....the dreaded question...what would be a fair market value? Anyone who can add anything please do. Thanks....Dave

You said it's overall in almost new condition. so if the wood is not a replacement modern set and it's indeed in milsurp excellent condition, I'd guess it's worth $400 - $500.

Thanks Guys...wood appears to be original. If there were going to be any unit or military marks where would they be? I have looked the stock over well and there are no areas sanded off. Could it be a "not issued" piece? Rifling looks very sharp to me but then what do I know as I collect Snider Enfields and Martini Henrys. Interesting that the metal appears to be blued except for the muzzle which is almost a green or parkerized look.

Any parkerized parts would have been added in WWII and later rebuilds, these rifles were originally blued. CAI refinished a bunch of them a while back and sold them off. There are enough good example of them around that a CAI stamped one would be at the bottom of the list.
Between the wars, to keep the armories busy they rebuilt '17s. So if you have matching parts (E),it wiil be much more valuable,becaue they are truly rare.Unlike the P-14,all the '17 parts were made to interchange,early Winchesters are screw up.That's why there are no numbers on the bolt.

To build on hitzy's comments with examples, I have two M1917's. A Remington and an Eddystone (just like yours), both of which ended up in service here in Canada, "C" Broad Arrow marked. The former with the RCAF and the latter with the COTC (Canadian Officers Training Corps).
Note the "E" alone on the sling swivel and the "E" and "R" marks mixed together on some other parts. In the one pic below, you'll see that my Eddystone has a properly marked Eddystone front sight, but it's literally sitting on a Remington sight base.
