So im doing my pre black badge exam and there are a hand full of questions on there that are not coverednin the 2012 rule book!

WTF am i supposed to do?

I dont want to get them wrong because they arent covered...

EDIT: i finished my course and Dave imediatly informed us on saturday that the test was a mistake,

Wow what a great experience it didnt just help my pistol proficiency but also gave me a new outlook on IPSC and made me very excited to join and start competeing,

The comrodery that was expressed in class was bar-none and the emphysis that you dont have to make .5" grouped "A" hits to be good or have a good time was a big plus.

Be as you are and shoot the best you can.

Thank you guys for keeping this sport extremely fun to participate in

i was given this 100 question exam along with the january 2012 edition handgun competition rule book. I found every other answer in the book but not the ones listed above

Just wanna do the best i can...

Im already super stressed about the course as i havent been out with my pistol in like 4 weeks...

Don't stress or worry about the course. It is supposed to be fun, you are not training to go to over to the middle east or something. It is for fun. Learn, shoot & enjoy the process.

When the rules change they should update the course including removing questions about things that no longer exist from the exam.

We did. The OP has the old exam; there's been an error.
OP: Please email me the course date and location or the instructor's name.
I will pass the word to the S/C and I'm sure he will get it fixed up.

Im out of town for work till friday night :(

All well, my dad is taking the course with me and he got the same exam so he is contacting the trainer today to sort it out

Gentlemen,

Just to be clear, the exam was updated and sent out. If the sections do not distribute the information that is sent to them, and the instructors do not update the Black Badge Kits. Then there is not much IPSC Canada can do.

I took the Black Badge last month in Vancouver and my exam must have been correct since I was able to find all the rules in my little red book. Definitely give a heads up to the instructor. And don't stress. Writing the exam was a pain -- took me almost three hours but then I didn't use the .pdf (me am dumb) but it impressed me with how much they wanted you to know about all the rules; about 10x the amount of work than on the PAL exam lol. The rest of the course is FUN FUN FUN.

You guys taking it down in phoenix? I'm jealous I'm waiting for my gun to arrive so I can sign up. I'm hesitant to sign up before just incase it takes longer to arrive than quoted. It's supposed to arrive in October :S. I hear the course is a lot of fun with a lot of shooting though.

Yes its at phoenix.

My father call me and notified me that he called Kelly at Phoenix and Kelly just told him not to worry about those questions that arent in the book...

And he said that 100 question test is the right one  all well i finished the exam and referenced all the odd questions to the 2009 hand book where i found the answers ;)

Less stress now!....the pill has been taken 7.62mm

Once you are done, I would let NROI and Freedom Ventures (Sean) know who the instructor is so they can correct him/her. That's is not the correct test and just ignoring the questions is insufficient. They should have supplied and marked the correct test.

Its the correct test. The 2012 rule book changed some answers. We had the same problem in our course. In the end its an open book exam and you have enough time to find the correct answers together.

There is a new test that was developed for the 2012 rule book, the old one is no longer in use. There is no need to "correct" for the 2012 rule book, it was written specifically for the 2012 rule book.
