A big no thank you to joining the EU. It’s the epicenter of socialist woke ideology not to mention the regulatory policies that would impact everything here from increased immigration, higher taxation, and potential restrictions on manufacturing, mining, lumber and oil and gas extraction. There is a reason that conservative Brit politicians got their country out and places like Poland, Hungary and now Italy are constantly at odds with the globalists in the EU parliament.

I grew up in Europe, the last thing you want is joining in on that lunacy. They are tanking their own economies in the name of climate change, limit in what you can invest, cameras on every street recording where you go, getting taxed waaaaaaay higher on wages and anything else, and importing immigrants to the point they commit cultural genocide. So nice living in a place where its a weekly occurance to have a house shot up or grenade thrown at it, because the portworker didn't agree on the drug smuggling offer they gave him.
+ with or without these tarrifs, the canadian economy is ####ed. Go and try and find a job in places like Toronto. The whole job market is saturated. Rampant fraud with LMIA job postings. Illegal work everywhere. Certain demographics only hiring the same demographic etc. Government jobs where you need to be a minority to get hired or have a disability.
This trade war might actually be good in the long run, hope they start new pipelines/ setup refineries, hope they start up mining/ logging again, and take away the bs restrictions they have on most of these industries.

lol, ya that was more of a Trump style statement than a reality. I just meant focus on expanding our exports to those countries, and imports from them as well. Cut off our USA reliance.

If Trudeau and his band of green scammer environmentalists had allowed for the development of pipelines to get our oil and gas to markets in Europe and Asia, plus building additional refineries, as a nation we would have energy independence and be much more economically secure. Plus if the selfish sellout Singh hadn’t propped up the Libs and prevented a non-confidence vote, we would have a conservative government at the moment and might not be in a trade war with our greatest ally.
Apparently there are Mexican and possibly other Cartels operating in Canada that the USA knows about.
