(edited title) Museum's inventory: Sten, Mk V.

^ Lee Enfield. I do get it about manufacturing under license. The point is a Canadian made and issued gun is a C1, not a Sterling, nor a L2. We never called the C1 Rifle a "L1" even if parts are interchangeable, we do not call C9 a SAW/MINIMI/M249 nor a C6 a MAG58/M240. The only Brit made parts I ever saw was Brit mags with the rollers coming into issue late in the SMGs issue life.
Good pics here of whats rolled on the mag housing, check it out.

your point is understood, and i wouldnt call the c1 rifle an l1 either, but i would call them both FALs

the brit parts interchange was more of a hypothetical, we would most likey have fought next to brits again when the c1 entered service, since nato couldnt agree on a rifle nevermind a smg, if our stuff was interchangeable in the field with british stuff, it would make supply and maintenance that much easier. the only other part that was frequently swapped was the pistol grip, and that is not an obvious change, nor is it clear why.

awsome link me wants one :)

I'm too young to have seen and use a SMG. I only heard about it... for me, it is not a C1 nor a Sterling, this is an uncompleted E11 blaster used by the Empire stormtroopers! Oh wait... wrong forum!! Sorry. ;-)

Obviously not up to the professional level of these guys.;) Indonesia has always been a hot bed for home made firearms.
