Hi all,

Just received my PAL/RPAL today and am anxious to start my arsenal (I need me an SKS!). I will be in Edmonton next weekend so if anyone has any information about decent gun shops in the city I'd appreciate any feedback.

And there is a Pawn shop as well. I know someone got a pretty good deal there, but their name escapes me right now. I remember someone mentioned them on here before as well.

Thorsby used to have a place with nice turnover, but a smash n grab shut them down.

Google them for website, phone number and such. They have been around over a year or more, but they self-confess that they stayed "low key" while they did two things: one, trying to get small but frequent orders in with large numbers of suppliers so that if they don't have it in stock then an order is no more than a few months out, and two, having some time to build up so when their name starts to go out customers will be happy. AR15 & AR10 platform stuff, gunsmithing, and a little bit of 1911 & M14 platforms stuff right now.

I am happy so far: loitered in their currently very small shop (you have to pass the loiter test before I will buy from you) asking dumb questions, made my decisions, and I will likely drop a fair bit of money on stuff because of that.
