If you're in the Edmonton area and have any questions about hunting in warmer places - specifically, South Africa and Mozambique, we're having a meet and greet tomorrow (Monday, February 4th) with our outfitter from RSA.

He's been coming up here every year for nearly a decade. -30 notwithstanding. Very solid fellow (Neo and I have hunted with him on three occasions).

PM me if you have questions. We're looking at a 6:15 pm start at a local restaurant in St. Albert.

The invitation is open for any interested hunters interested in having a chat over a coffee and/or a bite about hunting in Africa.

Always puzzles me why people would go to South Africa and support a racist regime and one of the most dangerous places on the planet, if you're white. A lot of South Africans in Canada, a loss to their country, but they all have a horror story to tell and it's not getting better, on the contrary in fact.

So very very true, I was held up, robbed and or hijacked 11 times in my last 9 years of living there from 1990 to 1999, I left after my son was taken hostage and held for 6 hours by home invaders, never been back since then.

They can't all come here. Some of them are taking care of their families and businesses.

As I see it, if someone's family has lived in the same place for 300 years, the sense of attachment is understandable.

My support is for people I consider friends, not their regime.
