Educate me a little bit

My work experience was always in unionized mining environment, so maybe our own little world?? Last 20 years was in management - am sure I made hiring decisions on 30 or more positions to be filled. Physical requirements for job was laid out in job description - Physical Demands Analysis - medical exam certified whether candidate fit for job or not - yes or no - not a part of my hiring decision at all. Was not (where I worked) a topic for a job interview. Maybe I do not know how the "real world" works. However, despite HR's rules, I could generally come to some opinion, for myself, about the candidate's gender and age, after speaking with them in an interview - wasn't supposed to matter, but, ya know, I can kind of notice stuff like that?? So, I feel for you having to go through that rigamarole for a 10 hours a weeks job - just not in my "world view" - perhaps so much better that I am no longer in the work force...

I'm an electrician and when I go to the box box stores and hear the advice some of their 'specialists' are spewing it is laughable. You will be fine because most times it is guys wanting your opinion on a gun or rod/reel combo - that will not burn a house down.

Just know the product line that you carry........you want a pump shotgun here are your options, you want a semi........here are your options. You will be fine. Good luck buddy!
