I was wondering if any of your fellow milsurp collectors are familiar with the SVT family of rifles.

There are a lot of these rifles available and the prices seem great for a gas-operated self-loader in a rifle calibre.

What should I be looking for in a rifle from a collector's perspective? Date of manufacture, refurbishing etc?

Plenty of internet sources that will show you what is common and what is not. Google is always a good first start for informational inquires like this.
