I am looking for one more, than no more...haha.

I like the idea of Thompson Centre Pro-Hunter system. I think .45 Long Colt calibre. Than go rifle, maybe .308. I know there is the Contender line, don't know much about this brand. I think some models do not cross over/exchange bbls.

Thoughts?

Contender has two generations. The encore ProHunter is a lot more robust. Lots of barrels available which makes any of them a fun system. In the USA even more fun as they hunt with these very accurate hand guns. I have the original contender in a slew of offerings but no G2. While the barrel will interchange on the contender o the G2 do be aware of the AA or Alloy barrels which do not. As well the G2 does not go back to the contender. And at around serial number 198000 TC moved the hinge pin forward compensating for the larger caliber options and is often referred to as easy open. And the lug bolts went through various tweets so if a barrel is not locking up you might need to switch out the barrel lug, very simple to take care of. Send me your email and I will send you some pdf’s from the TCA One Good Shot magazine. BTW the collector association out of the US is full of helpful enthusiasts.

If you want various barrels this can be a lot of fun. As well there are various other collecting opportunities with the whole TC line.

Thank you

Well I got a smoking deal on a new Pro Hunter rifle in 22-250 and bought a 30-06 bbl as well. Could have got a 270 Win for an addional $200, might still get it.

After I pay my self back for this I will buy a Pro Hunter or Encore in 45 long colt.

My thinking is when Mr. Trudeau comes for my pistols he gets the body of the pistol, I keep the grip, stock, and bbl. which just happen to fit the rifle!

Why not sell the body now instead of giving it away

What I have now is a rifle, and a spare bbl. the next step is a restricted pistol. Both use the same body. Buddy at the gun shop says I can't buy a grip and front section here in Trudeau land.

This is kinda sorta unrelated. I took my new (rifle)Thompson Centre to the range today. This is the most accurate rifle I own. 6/8 shots I took while sighting this gun in were touching. I have never done even close to that before. Pretty pumped.
