EE Access not granted?

Hello,

After posting and intro and the mandatory 10 posts, I requested EE access several times and it still hasn't been granted after a week. Is this delay normal?

I didn't know there was a certain number of posts required.
Anyway posting in intro/greeting don't count towards post count afaik so half of your posts don't really count.

Also quickly putting in 5 posts in ten minutes might not be what mods are looking for before granting access, just sayin.
 
People who contribute to the forums and discussions, gain access to the Exchange. This is a community with a buy/sell - not a buy/sell site with a couple side discussions.

Hang in there, you'll get there.

Or you can be like me . I didn’t feel like waiting and figured I’d support the site so I bought a $25 membership and got access the next day . U get other small perks with a membership which is making me want to get another , hosting pics directly from ur comp is the biggest for me

I remember seeing something about waiting for 90 days since registration before getting access to EE. Might want to check forum rules.
 
I don't think there's anything wrong with people coming here only to trade. If you remove the EE, this site would lose a big chunk of it's users.
 
It takes a few days, in the meantime enjoy reading the different forums, thee is lots of interesting topics on this site

you only need one post and the intro post will count as 1, and no you dont have to participate in discussion.

how do you think a member got 80 gazillion posts count? majority from intro section.

the delay maybe due to their due diligence they do to all applicants. its volunteer work so they will get to you when they can, some time the line up is long and other time its short, its like the line up at costco. EE is a very busy place.
 
if you read pass the intro section. at 6. it would say "Review of joining request may take up to 10 business days. During holiday seasons and periods of high volume, it may take more than 10 business days"

I can't think of a better way to delay your entry than requesting access several times and then complaining about it after a few go through the motion type posts. Show some aptitude for patience and restraint. Once you get accepted then you can let your true colors fly.
 
You could send a PM to CGN admin and ask why you haven't been approved, or wait a few more days. Judging by the number of Greeting & Intro's lately I'm guessing they a bit busy.
Using a VPN network won't help either. A mod may be along shortly to address your concern.
