Now we will work on not calling cartridges/rounds...*quiver*..."bullets"....*twitch*

:D

Yeah, well it was another Saturday night without a date(my cousin was out-of town at bingo), I was bored and just funnin' ya'all.
I don't want youse guys to think I'm some sorta hillbilly. I do know proper terminoligy.

Hi.-

Many Russian SKS rifles I'm advertising in the EE have a higher price.

It's because they are hand selected, hand picked by myself, they are mainly unrefurbs, unissued, unfired one's, so, they are "premium collector's grade" rifles.

A standard hand picked refurb one is at standard $179.00 each, but, for sure, you have always a nice rifle with a minimum of handling marks and a very nice wood with nice figures.

$1200 SKS at Landsborough auction ($1050 price and 15% commission, not including tax). Black plastic can be a good investment. For about the same money, the buyer could have had an AR15.

Yeah but how any AR's actually stormed Hitlers bunker LOL I was assured my SKS was in the war, and probably sorted out hundreds Nazi's for added value ,historical interest etc. Shame it has 1951 stamped on it. Don't know what they teach kids these days, but it aint history.

Nothing wrong with asking inflated prices on the EE. It's only wrong if someone buys it. LOL

Saw an ad on castboolits yesterday: 2000 rounds of bulk pack Federal .22 rimfire for $200. It's getting focking crazy down there and makes our EE look like a bargain.

I know it has been said and made fun of before but I gotta say it again! What is with the crazy prices on th EE? There is a guy on there now with your standard 54 russian sks for sale for $225 plus shipping, as the young folks would say WTF! Tradeex has them on for $169. Do people actually but these guns off the EE from strangers? at$70 above the going price, when they can get a nice one from our respected dealers for much less with no risk?? Some people think that because they bought the gun, it automaticlly becomes gold when the opposite is true! Rant over, buyer beware!

It depends on allot of things. 1 is year 1 is condition 1 is stock type 1 is an issued version vs non issued. Sale price at 1 time doesn't mean they're always that price. They're are some in really bad shape and some in really good shape and they tend to cost more so buy what you want it's not buyer beware its know what your buying. Some of the deals for 225 are including shipping were 169 plus shipping gets up to 225 really fast with taxs as well.

CGN has a policy of letting members to FREELY sell at what ever price they choose . ranting about prices are in a way a form of suppressing that freedom. personally , i dont even feel $225 is out of line.

last year , ranting about EE was getting out of hand, it was becoming a weekly event so mods tend to locked the threads . not so much lately.

I am not sure why a couple of people on here are saying LOCKED, does this mean we are discussing some forbidden subject? I cannot see why anyone would lock a thread commenting on prices of goods? In my mind that would border on freedom supression, this site is the last place I would expect to see this! Hopefully the people who have been put in charge/ power of this site will use that power sparingly and with discretion!

You said clip. Clips are used to load ammunition into magazines. The terms are not the same.

As for SKS prices, you can get a Chinese for 75 bucks, russians from 168 to 450 and up depending on year and refurb vs non refurbed. Prices vary with the ups and downs of import costs at the dealer level. Who is to say what that guy on the EE bought his for.
The English language is constantly evolving... The word clip, while considered incorrect by many CGN/Internet knowitall jackasses is a commonly used term for a magazine. While we're at it... What does magazine mean? It's funny because the original meaning doesn't fall under your usage.

Saying "clip" is almost as bad as saying "know" clue. Maybe we shouldn't be so harsh on grammar and spelling errors because we all make mistakes.

LOCKED

Guys lets keep the forum for learning and not childish crying over EE prices

This BS topic is really getting old
