EE gate keeping

Was rejected access to the L1 EE forum. I was right in the middle of the process and finished the last step when the site was going through its major update this month so I’m wondering if that had anything to do with it or may have caused an issue/error and if anyone else might just happen to be in the same boat??? Obviously followed the steps to the best of my knowledge and just waiting to hear back from an admin on why in the meantime.
 
Are you using a VPN to access the site ?

Your required posts are the bare minimum.
You'll likely not be granted access until you have participated regularly in some of the thousands of posts in the sub forums.

No definitely not using a VPN at all. I’d love to make some more posts but I run into the same problem for everything I’ve tried it just tells me I have insufficient privileges to access it. So far the only my place I’ve been able to post is this one here and the greeting an intro forum so I’m not sure how I’m expected to add more if I can’t access. Again though it could just be glitch for me. Also it’s hard to have any good input/comments for anyone or any other forum when you’re just getting started in the gun world. How do you learn if your denied access to 90 percent of the site? I obviously get the need for security when it comes to guns but this seems a little over board imo when you have to have a pal. Anyways maybe I’ve missed something but that’s just my two cents hopefully I hear back from an admin soon and get this resolved. I appreciate any help thx.
 
Usually new members have access to all forums besides EE, NEWS DIGEST and off topics,might be a glitch in the newly launched website software, likely a simple "permissions" change is required.
 
I read a post somewhere that stated EE is not accessible to anybody with the "NEW USER" tag under the new system, once you have posted a bit and used the site and the tag resets due to activity you may be able to try again?
 
New application requests are not being accepted currently due to the high volume recently received.
Many members that currently have EE access for some reason have reapplied for access since the software update.
 
I'm having trouble finding anywhere on this website that even has the "Apply here for EE access". If I click on the Equipment exchange tab it only has all of the locked out forums... Is this because of the new update?

I looked as well but am unsure if the other intel is accurate. Some are saying there is a huge influx of applicants so they shut it down temporarily. Hard to seperate fact from fiction.

Not hard to separate fact from fiction if you look around and read for yourself.
 
Not really. Couple days ago moderators said EE applications are on hold. Also brand new members don’t tend to get EE access untill they’ve contributed to the forum. If you want immediate access without patience you’ll have to buy a sub.
 
No update/notification of rejection or approval or any correspondence from an admin from my most recent application to join EE. I also cannot find or access any of my old messages notifications or posts. I have to search this post by name to find it now and I was the one to start this thread. Maybe it just resets and deletes after a certain amount of time so could be normal I guess?? Even when I click on “show all” it still doesn’t show me any of my old stuff at all? Has anyone got through? Please let me know if I’ve missed anything.
 
The statement I saw on EE access is that rather than the previous means of obtaining, it will be based on threshold metrics that I can only assume you, nor others, have yet surpassed.

Be patient. Not doing so won't change anything any faster.
