Hi all,
I have encountered a new scenario. I am the buyer of a prescribed antique (no question on antique status) flintlock long gun and the seller is insisting I provide my PAL info and a photo of my driver's licence, so that this information can be verified with the RCMP CFP. I don't know if he intends to generate a reference number.
Is this kind of thing common and/or reasonable in your mind? I am always leery of providing all of this information when it is not required (although I already did indicate I have a PAL and provided some details). Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
