EESA back to school match had great stages

Stormbringer and his crew did a great job with some interesting and challenging stages ( altough I personally could have done without the low port).

The difficulty level on some shots was greater than than usual and with a good mix of plates and popper with slow drying blue paint, ( White laquer drys faster and blue is only used in BC)

Good job and worth the drive.

I was very happy with the event and it put some much needed money in our coffers that I hope we can put to good use building the 45 m range. That will in turn lead to easier and larger matches at EESA.

With regard to paint colour. I have always been a huge fan of medium blue been doing that for about 10 years or so. Which of course means that it is not in BC...not navy blue however. For me white screams DO NOT SHOOT! In talking with a competitor in NB it was mentioned that to be logical we should shoot the white sides of the targets and have white steel.

Shoot the taupe sides of the targets and have taupe steel.

Blue steel is a happy middle ground. It show up nice with iron sites as well as red dots and all sorts of fiber colours.

We did have yellow steel for one stage on one of our Drama Daze. It was the james bond theme match and the Gold Finger stage..........so naturally the steel had to be yellow. I found that the paint did not cover very well at all in that colour.

Thanks! all the stages rocked! I love steel, although they tend to intimidate me, the more steels a shoot, the more confidence i gain! awesome setup again EESA and crew. Looking forward for the next match.
