Well certainly for this year.....although I am thinking of a "club level" Rifle match some time in Nov/Oct.

The problem as usual is lack of volunteers to set up and run the damned things....

Tom, Rob and I took Wednesday to Friday off work to build these stages......... it gets a tad old to see the only the same faces out helping set things up. Luckily we had plenty of help Sunday night for the tear down.

That said the Kids that were out to help this year were great and they really need the money for the programs.

I have been MD for EVERYSINGLE IPSC match that EESA has held since we started in 2002. I have designed 85% of the stages we have ever used and drew 90% of them. Can you say burn out?

The EESA IPSC crew will have a meeting shortly to see what we will do in the 2008 schedule.

I love this picture..
It shows the teacher with two students....the one on the right is "Trinity Angel" and was competing in the event.

Wow,
That looked like an awesome shoot!

I know what you mean about volunteers Storm,
The guys at our club are pretty tired of seeing the same 5-10 guys do everything.
I try and get off work a few times a year to do set up and almost always help on tear down and running the match.

When it becomes work, you start to lose people and the sport suffers

Storm,

Just send me a PM or give my cell a call. I've offered before to share my time and skills. I'm just rather out of the loop since I'm not at the IPSC nights and all the other fun jazz around the club which happens on a weekly basis.

I work weekends, which should mean that I've got all week to come and start building stuff for you guys.

Cheers,

Critter

BTW, was down there yesterday and today ... looked like a lot of work went into the event, I don't think the pictures really do it justice.

Crap critter...........now I remember you volunteering!! ARGH!!

Next big match we do I plan on having work "teams" do each range....

on that thought .... Michigan sectional this past weekend did just that but they invited other clubs to design, build, host, and run stages in the match... it ran very smooth and was fun to work and shoot... perhaps you can borrow that idea for your next level III that way perhaps some of the smaller clubs can participate in hosting a larger match...

Sounds like a good plan....

I always thought that it would be a good way to run some of the larger matches like the Provincials..

One range Oxford
One range Windsor
Two ranges EESA.

Or something like that....

Oh here are more pics from Mike R

Holy crap those are awesome stages!

Thanks...

My favorite was "on her magesties secret service" as shown above.

You started out standing on skis holding onto the poles.

On audible you shoot at two targets to the left...

Then you have to climb over three "moguls" which allow you to see more targets along the way...

At the end by a last pole you pull on a wire and it relased two targets on the gondola which came down running on a wire to stop on some hay bales..

I do not have any pics of my other favorite which was "from Russia with love" It was a really open course with a teeter totter mover..

Not to mention "moonraker" with our very own shuttle....

I have moved all of Mike R's pics into my photobucket account.

Thanks for the pics Storm.

I've still got to get out sometime to get started. I would have come out just to watch this match, but I didn't know it was going on (as my EESA events calender was late).

Thanks again

Brett
