EESA Drama Daze update????

Any word yet on the drama daze? How's it going and such? Hope to be there to help out tomorrow! :dancingbanana:
 
Ahhh mud just makes it a bit more.................charming.

Yes we need as much help as possible.

So far there have been few hang ups.

1 broken weld and an electircal short.
 
Well day two is over........the match is complete.

The stages are down...

One day I will actually run a match that I get to shoot!!!! LOL!

We ended up with a second popper failure today, it was steel fatigue on part of the latch mechanism. Should be an easy fix.

Thanks again for all the terrific competitors that came out to support this match. The kids had a great time and were very impressed with some of the shooters....ok so they may have laughed at a few others.

More importantly I was asked by several of the kids, including 4 young ladies how one starts shooting this sport!!

The teacher/Staff advisor from the Schools Drama Department was equally impressed. In the end between EESA and IPSC Ontario we donated net proceeds of $2050 to the school.

If we do this again we can probably do more as we will hopefully have less money tied up in props for the match....
The only thing I would hope for would be nicer weather gods!

Friday nights torrential Rains coupled with gale force winds and rain Saturday night sure made a mess of the two outdoor ranges. Maybe I should change my nick?

Anyway...........scores are tabulated already thanks to my wife and daughter.....I just need to look them over and get them sent off.

At a few points I was about ready to toss in the towel on future EESA matches. Then kind words such as yours and remarks from some of the competitors on the fun they had make it all worth it in the end.

Not sure when the next EESA match will be ....I am pretty toasted about now.

My extention cord is right happy now....However I need to find out which heartless shooter SHOT MY DECK!!!
 
it was all a lot of fun... I couldn't hit anything indoors again, just like last time... must be the lighting... ;)

A serious comment - on the virginia count stages, the targets were indistinguishable from the background. I don't know if it was just me (I'm slightly color blind), but the targets were invisible. I was just shooting at where I thought they were. maybe next time have a different colour background? Even something like black (or white) garbage bags spread across the back, with the targets stapled on top of those... ?

Good match. Glad "all is well that ends well" Especially the "end well" part.
I could not hit anything either but I think it was solely operator error, or Quigley fault. Every else is ask Rick.

any time you need an item welded give me a pm;) it will cost you the same as it cost me;) probly notta...even a few hunk,s of steel can be yanked from the scap bins,if needed..
again it cost the same as it cost me..probly notta;)
 
Plate hard to hit.........

Thank you for the match it was fun, especially on the mini world stage....that plate was hard for one of the shooter on our squad....he yelled to the RO she's not falling :confused: :mad: of course his grouping was perfect on the stand :rolleyes: :cool: ....which was rock solid :D :D

This school have a shop class?

I will have to make it down to one of these some day.
 
Actually I spoke at length with the teacher. He will speak to the weld shop teacher.. However as per another thread Trinity said some teachers want to learn how to shoot. One of which is the shop teacher. So things might just work out to the bennefit of all.

Well since I am very limited by my work as to how much I can contribute to the running of matches, I am VERY grateful to those of you who make the sacrifice for my/our benefit. Without the efforts of these few people who step up time and again and basically throw away any chance they would have of being competitive, none of us would be shooting any matches at all.

Storm, Like I suggested in your previous drama daze thread, you should change your nick name ;)

But, kidding aside, Iyou always put on fun to shooting matches. :runaway:
they're great stages, tricky & some blasting type & even some that require aiming.
rain & mud doesn't keep me away. I brought my hunting boots & ran the stages like they should & dropped my mags as they should (no Idpa mag drops here)

I had some kickups again (as usual at EESA) but overall, shot o.k.

You better set up more level 2's ! When the 3 gun match ? ?

Eventually, one will go buy w/ no rain :rolleyes:

like I said before Storm good match...and you know if you need any help in the welding dept give me a call...am not that far away and woud be glad to help

The wording in the article was a bit ambiguous...to be clear the $300 was from IPSC Ontario (not me)
