EESA L2 shotgun match

Ok so now we have dropped from an original 30 shooters with me feeling bad that I did not book the match to run two days (Saturday and Sunday ) to accomodate more peole to a grand total of 18 yes EIGHTEEN shooters..

For this I am blowing a vacation day for set up on Friday? Not to mention last Sat to make props?

Really?

I guess from now on it will be Level 1 matches only. Set up in the morning and shoot in the afternoon. Easy as pie.

Myself and the rest of the EESA crew ( and the few die hards) will still get to shoot some IPSC shotgun but with less pain for all.

18 shooters eh?....it always seems like there is so many more ppl complaining that there aren't enough matches....

Oh well....we will have a great time.

I'm actually very surprised by that...I'm sure it's a disappointed (but in no way a refection on the matches EESA puts on)

It was looking for a while like the Rifle and Shotgun components were getting some real interest...and it's tapering off for some reason...

There are two clubs in Ottawa that are discussing putting on 3 gun matches this year (I'll let them announce it) I hope we can all figure out a way to get the attendance up to where it should be...before clubs give up and our long guns just sit in the safe collecting dust.

I really think outlaw matchs are the future for 3 gun. After attending several in the states that rock, IPSC in Canada is solely based on pistol and I think the adding of shotgun and rifle won't let some shine as the usually do. Just my two cents and by the way I will be there on Saturday shooting with 667 and Banger...We will have fun.

I concur with bersmith...
IPSC 'round these here parts is primarily a pistol game.
Introducing long guns might be viewed by some as a distraction to all the time effort and $$ they've have sunk into their IPSC gear/practice.
That and I bet there are many IPSC (pistol) shooters who don't even own a shotgun or are interested in owning one... That's fine. Some folks choose to master one game.
Me.. I prefer to be a jack of all trades master of none.. 'Means I get to shoot waaaay more :D

I mean just look at how bad I can suck with a pistol, shotgun and a rifle :D
