EESA Shotgun Match Feeler (JUNE 30TH) date secured

Well...I guess I am going from past history here. The only real afvantage, in Canada anyways, is speed loaders....I think there is one guy that comes to our matches that has a shotgun outfitted for speed loaders. Does anyone shoot a pump in Open division? That would be the only other advantage, capacity wise. Optical sights on a shotgun are not any faster, and porting does not give any real advantage either.
So basically we have a whole seperate division for one maybe two shooters....who may or may not come to the match.
In which case I will call the divisions pump and semi...if there is enoung to make an open division....we can make that determination on match day. I hope this puts to rest any fears that you have that you won't have a division to shoot in at our match. Although, I still like the idea of having a banger division just for you.:)

Hey that +5 extension you have on your Mossberg, is it on a 20" barrel? Can you post a pic? I can't find the thread you posted it on. I am just wondering how far past the barrel an extension can go before it causes an issue. :p

You are probably good for about 5 feet past the end of the barrel before there is even a possibility of the wad/shot coming in contact with the mag tube.
And that's with cylinder bore, with spreader ammo.

No risk of contact with any normal sized extension.
I have one that is a good 10 inches past the muzzle and all that happens is that it gets dirty from the muzzle blast

Ahahahahaha! Thanks! You don't know what you have done! What until you see my shotgun on June 30th. :D

Since this match rules are branching away from the multigun rules set, can you clarify a couple of things?

Still just the 2 divisions, pump and open(for everything else)?

Can you tell me what the division capacity will be, if any?

no rules?
8+1 to start, no limit once the buzzer goes?
8+1 max at all times?

Are you also going to limit accessory equipment like IPSC does?

This is not meant to criticize or flame in any way. I just want to know what the rules are before configuring my gear for this particular match.

Bite your tongue!!!! I want to start the match with fifteen rounds in my pump.

Boo! I thought IPSC style matches involved gaming? :p

This isn't an ipsc style match.....and seeing as how Team Hoser didn't beat Team Arugula at the recent 1st leg of the 3 Man 3 Gun....it is now a "whatever rules set 7.62mm decides on match"........and seeing as how I have all your money already......Bbbuuuuuuhhhahhhhahhahaahhaaaa!

Seriously though....you guys realize that the match iw still a whole month away right? I will finalize the rule set shortly...like within a couple weeks. And I imagine that it will be a total of 9 shots in the gun at all times....I really don't want to start an equipment race, and what to try and have some sense of fairness to all shooters.

Well seeing as I ordered a Nordic tube extension for my 590 after you told me how fun it is at shotgun matches I have no option but to offer you some Forty Creek Whiskey as a last resort bribe to allow at least 14 rounds. :ang
