EESA spring fling?

^thanks, looks like I better bring colour coded shells. BTW, are side saddles or speedfeed mag stocks legal for use? Any restrictions on shotguns?

Also does mag carrier placement for rifle or shotgun make you automatically in Open class? I got a basic front chest rig to hold 4 mags and few shells. Does the position front of the hipline apply similar to pistol rules? Or for rifle and shotgun it doesnt matter?

You can keep ammo on the gun, on the sling, and/or on your body. Ammo kept on your body has to be within 50 mm, except in Open division.

There are four divisions: Open, Modified, Standard, and Standard Manual. Each has its own rules and restrictions. I doubt anyone in Canada shoots Modified. You can shoot any shotgun (of at least 20 gauge) in Open division, unless it has full-auto or burst modes.

This rule only applies to handgun.

Thanks ND.. on the above.. ammo kept on your body..has to be 50mm... 50mm from what?

so if you stack 2 AR mags on top of each other in a holder is the second mag out to far???

The rule does not apply in rifle, only in handgun (all divisions) and shotgun (all divisions except Open). Clear as mud? ;)

By the way, as an RO I was taught to measure the 50 mm from the closest point on the magazine or pouch to the closest point on the body. I'm not sure that really follows the rule to the letter, but it certainly simplifies things for both the shooters and the RO, since the official IPSC plastic target overlays just happen to be exactly 50 mm wide.

I guess you need a black badge course right?
I KNOW i am being punished by the practical shooting gods for not taking the course in FEB oh well i will have to wait till May:D

Hell no...........but he sure has fun trying!! That is what this is all about FUN!!

At the last EESA match there was ONE target at 200m.

Keep in mind some of us who are designing stages practise with our AR at 300.
The scope and bipod do get a little heavy occassionally.

Remember the exposed "A" zone in the middle of the penalty target at the blizzard match. I wonder how big that is at 100, 200, and 300 looking through Iron sights.

Let's see, take the "no shoot" or the "penalty" that is the question.

Would have been a good stage under the last Drama Daze.
