Egyptian hakim

Rasheeds are essentially an sks it seems (to me anyways). When I examined one a couple of months ago, a lot of the features were fairly similar

It fills the same role and somewhat resembles an SKS, but it's not at all the same. The Rasheed is essentially a Ljungman in a different caliber with some slightly different changes, just like the Hakim is.

Rashid may be worth more than Ljungman, or Hakim. Very few were imported (2000 rings a bell).

Although they appear similar to an SKS, with similar bayonet, they are different rifles. Direct gas (no piston) operated. Going rate? NOt sure anymore. I sold mine 3 Christmases ago (so Santa could come) for $550 shipped. I might have been able to milk a few more bucks out of it, but not much.

Fun rifles for sure!

I saw a Rasheed last month at a gun show for $600. Cheapest I've seen. I have a Hakim but would gladly trade 2 of them for a Rasheed. Ammos cheaper.

"...A mint..." That means unfired and exactly as it came out of the factory.
"...Rasheed/Hakim..." Two different rifles. The former grew out of the latter. Said to be only 8,000 Rashids made.
