I loaded up some rounds for my varmint rifle and forgot to resize them before I loaded them up. Ive found that alot of them are not ejecting and finding fine brass shavings on the bolt face. Is this a problem with the rifle or is it a problem with the new brass not being resized? It seems to properly eject the brass maybe 80% of the time.

Cheers!!

Most likely some dirt/crud around the ejector. How can you forget to resize? Unsized cases should give you feeding issues. Just curious.

Well its no problem with the brass, I just noticed all the stuff I was shooting was factory loaded ammo.
So I guess my question is " How much will it cost to get this ejector fixed" The rifle is 2 months old, would this be covered under a warranty from the dealer??

Cheers!!

What is the make, model and caliber of your rifle?
What are the symptoms of your problem?
When they fail to eject to they just lay on top of the follower?

Ejection refers to throwing the case out of the loading port clear of the action as you withdraw the bolt.

Extraction refers to extracting the case from the chamber.

Ejection problems are usually easier to fix than extraction problems.
