12 or 20 ga? Are you using the right piston for light loads?
Can you provide more info .are the shells sticking in the chamber ? Or is the action closing with shell sticking out side ways .
It's a 12 ga. and has the correct piston in there.
It does both but I would say mostly the latter. Although I haven't had an opportunity to try a waterfowl hunting load in it since this issue started I'm pretty sure they'll recycle/eject. I'll try that early next week, though, to make sure they do.
And what piston is that ?
Have you tried to polish the chamber ???
Remington 870 sp had issues, check google for fiys mods.

I think I mentioned above that I've got the correct piston in there for lighter loads. The whole gun (action, magazine tube, and barrel) has been cleaned and lubed again. Gas ports have been checked. Pretty sure the reason it has the issue is because of what it says on P. 22 of the manual where it states that you need at least 1200 fps shells. The problem is all my trap/skeet loads are 1145-1200 fps but that being said, my buddy's SA-08 seems to cycle them just fine, plus the ons that I have that are rated 1200 fps should theoretically work.
I hope to try the gun at the range again tomorrow to see if anything has been changed. The one thing I haven't checked is the action spring located in the stock. If I still have an issue the next time I'm shooting these trap loads I'll check it.
Mine worked well with 1 1/8 oz 1145 fps (2 3/4 dram equivalent) target shells. If your shells are only 1 oz and 1145 fps then that may be the problem but 1 1/8 oz loads should work fine.
Exchanging pistons may not give you the answers you need because you are only comparing how these pistons fit. It appears that you are skirting the fringe of reliability in this particular gun by trying to use the lightest recoiling ammunition you can find and your final solution will likely be to try different loads until you find a compromise that works. Bear in mind, when cold weather arrives this problem will brobably increase.
