ejection pattern handloads vs factory

I got my crono readings today, pretty good stuff and very happy overall. All my problems with the ejection went away using this new scale, my loads were WAY OFF before, very undercharged.
I will post the numbers tomorrow, but for the record, using WSF and CAMPRO 124 round nose, I got an amazing grouping of 10 rounds, all touching at 7 yards, 3/4 inch group, not possible with the other loads.

Accuracy suffers a bit with everything above 4.7, except at 5.1 it tends to get a little bit better by 1/4".

Sounds like you are getting close to the same readings as mine. I have just loaded up 20 rounds at 5.1 but have not had a chance to shoot them yet. Will let you know when I do.

Did you get the same velocity as I did at 5.1?

Well then, if you're getting results, then you have a winner. All that powder you have should serve you well.

Now that I think about it, I've never actually attempted a 7y group.

At our club, the nearest target stand is 25y. So we all challenge ourselves to that standard. Some people can print well, some cannot. But at that distance, it's never anything resembling a group. I go by percentages in areas of the target.

Meanwhile, the only time you can get close to the targets is when the range is dead and you are free to shoot ahead of the line. Whenever I get that opportunity, I seem to concern myself more with combat maneuvers. I ought to try shooting a group one of these days.

here are the numbers : average out of 10 shots first, then HIGH and LOW

WSF 4.7 1002 H 1025 L 979
WSF 4.8 1024 H 1039 L 1011
WSF 4.9 1035 H 1065 L 1003
WSF 5.0 1047 H 1067 L 1029
WSF 5.1 1066 H 1070 L 1059

4.7 fits the bill perfectly for IDPA power factor, with a minimum of 1000 FPS. Got a winner.

pretty close, were you running a mp9? barrels and pressures might be different creating a different environment hence the small difference in FPS.
We are pretty close though.

Yes, I like to shoot at 25 too, just to know of my limits and the limits of my gun. My mp9 gives me 3 inch groups from a standing up position, this is a group of 5 shots all within a circle of that distance, which is very good. I have tried from a rest, groups shrink about half an inch, when I do that I shoot 10 rounds since I tend to get tired aiming at 25 yards standing up and the grouping tends to open up after the 5th shot.

Good stuff! thank you all for the help and time to post, I hope this will be helpful for those starting to load Plated Bullets and WSF!
Thanks!
