Watch around the 2:15 minute mark and you will see a big hint. And just so you will understand...
It's the metal piece that poke's out when the bolt is going back ;)

That would be great since I need pictures. Probably a stupid question but with this mod does it mean I could get one of those side mounted scopes and the brass won't ding up my scope?

I did the ejector port mod this week and it works great! From a standing position, the spent casings are ejected at 2 o'clock, 3 to 4 yards away.

Thanks for the mod!

Yeah I tried this and didn't get the results I was hoping for.
Running a Bc Tactical scout set up with a TRS25 and the shells were still ringing off the optic.
I wouldn't waste your time personally.

Here's the shot from page 1:

Here's mine: note the dings on the Pic rail, the rim of the red dot has a few dings as well.

And finally, here's my first TRS, pre ejector mod. So I don't feel like taking a chance either way, will eventually put a reciever cover on with some mounts for a deflector. Pretty lame that BC tactical does not mention that a deflector may be necessary.

As per the fellow I helped via PM a few years ago, there is more than likely still some material to be removed. He had to go back and trim a little more several times to get it right. Try making the radius a little smaller, pulling it back slightly into its corner. I'm just waiting for pics to upload to photobucket of the one I did while you posted this. I'll be updating my post in the optics sticky.

Have you ground some more and test fired again? I would go 1/32 to 1/16" max then test. The rifle will not become unsafe. It looks like you could pull the radius back into its corner some more but I can't see it in person to be sure. Go a little at a time and you'll get it.
