Another small tragedy in the life.
I lost my ejector rod return spring washer for my Ruger Security Six.
Can I use this unit without this until it comes or I have it made? It does not seem like it is integral to how the gun works in firing-mode. Or, maybe Im missing something. Thought Id ask.
Thanks for the hep

My bad, I prattled on about the springs when it's the spring seating washer you lost.

You can measure the shaft size and the hole it has to fit down into. So just cobble something together that fits. It's a washer, not a precision bearing that needs to be sized to some crazy tolerance. If you find a washer that fits into the cylinder then just hold it with a good pair of pliers and file it out to fit the shaft with a needle file from one of the $2 jeweler's file kits you get in the bargain bins. Or drill a hole in a bit of sheet metal the size that fits the shaft and then jam it down onto a tapered pin punch or even a screw and cut and file down the outside so it fits into the hole in the center of the cylinder. It may look like a rabid rat gnawed it out but it'll work and no one will see it.

And if you can make it using methods that produce something more eye worthy then so much the better.
