Ejector Rod

Chambered a 6BR to a Rem 700 SA and have ejection issue. As the extractor pulls the empty back, the neck clears the action at the same time the ejector rod comes to stop...resulting in the case "falling" back into the action/mag port. Is it possible to get an ejector rod that is about 1/8" longer?

once in a while the ejector on a Rem will get dirty and stick.. clean it well with a tooth brush and solvent and push the ejector in a few times.. try it again and it'll probably work fine...

A friend gave me a spare rod and I filed a few thou off the back end of the "notch" to lenghten the rod travel...a bit of trial and error... to get the rod to extend just short of the bolt rim..and it kicks the empty out just as it should.
