i removed the ejectors on my over under to do some cleaning. however, one of the springs will not come out of the housing. I am afraid of pulling on it too hard and stretching the spring.i sprayed quite a bit of remington gun cleaner into it to try and loosen up the residue, but it is still stuck in there pretty firmly.

any suggestions on how to get it out?

or any sources to purchase a new ejector spring for beretta 680 series over unders

I'd dump out the cleaner and try some penetrating oil, leave it at least a week and check on it once in a while to top up with fluid and wiggle it a bit. Once it's out I'd replace both ejector springs and make sure the holes they drop into are clean, maybe twirl a drill bit in there with your fingers to see if there is any crud left in there before putting in the new springs.

Try inserting a rod down the center of the spring and rolling it around as well as up and down in an attempt to jostle the stuck spot (after having applied penetrating oil).

Thanks for all the help everyone.

After soaking for about a day in oil, the spring came out with a light tug. Used a q tip and some cleaner to wipe the spring housing. Lots of crap came out of it.

Ordering some new springs from stoegar tomorrow.

Check with Al Flaherty's first, they are more times than not cheaper than Stoeger.

was the first place I called, as i recall them having a very nice section dedicated to Beretta products. Unfortunately, they do not carry small parts (atleast the one i needed) in their store.
