A freind of mine has one nickle plated ingraved etc anyone know about these value wise he said its about 40 years old i cant post pics right now sorry

Hard to say who the maker is without seeing a maker's mark. El Faisan just means "The Pheasant" in Spanish and was used as a model on many Spanish guns. An El Faisan can be a cheap, bottom of the barrel gun or of fair quality depending on the actual maker. The gun you ask about is a low quality utility gun if it is the one that folds.

The "El Faisan" shotgun that I'm thinking of has a chromed receiver and dual exposed hammers. It also folds in half like gunsaholic pointed out. They came in 2 chamber lengths (2 3/4 and 3 inch) and are marked on the water table in millimetres.
I had to make a V spring years ago for one. I'm probably in a better position now to make it...more experience.
They work OK, but nothing special.

If it is as Gunrunner100 stated, ie; exposed hammer w/ chrome plate & folds in half, the springs are poor & it is not worth the 400 lots of people ask. It was a $60 gun in the 60s and is only worth 250 now (IMHO). The price demand is only related to it being a 410, not the gun.

This is true if that's what it is (and it likely is). Low quality and not worth the asking price that most want for them.

There is however, as I mentioned before, various guns that have been branded "El Faisan" and of varying quality. Such is the case as with the El Faisan shown below which I just acquired off the EE. It has chopper lump barrels, 3" chambers, selective ejectors, sidelock and teardrop stock. Concensus is it was likely made by Pedro Aguirre in 1964 and is of much higher quality than what one associates when they hear "El Faisan". That's why it would be nice to see pics of the .410 but I guess it isn't that important to the poster.
