Hoping someone can educate me a bit on the various generations of mounts for the ELCAN. I see newer optics with "Gen 3" mounts and other with older gen mounts. What's the difference? And for your average recreational plinker like me, do I really need the newest gen mount if all I plan to do is poke holes in paper on the weekends with my AR?
