Who can honestly say that they are surprised? Pierre did not run a good campaign and really never offered a compelling alternative to the Libs. Decentralization of Federal powers down to provinces - if the CPC can pitch that to the bloc, not only could there be a new election, there might actually be a coalition gov't. Imagine having your firearms laws controlled at the provincial level instead of criminal code. For many of us, that would be a clear win, and for those gun owners who are in authoritarian provinces - they can move.
