Electroless nickel plating

Anybody setup or know who is for electroless nickel plating?
I have a set of rings I need done.

I looked sometime back, I don't think there are any smiths doing this, you'll probably have to take it to a industrial coating place.

I emailed a couple of them a year or three ago and they didn't seem that excited about doing a small job such as a rifle when they have larger scale industrial work to do.

But, please post what you find, I'd be interested in getting an old lever done for fun.

They sell kits, not offer the service - correct? I'm not looking to setup for a set of rings.

I should think that if Caswell can't do the service they may know who does since they would have sold them the equipment.

I have never used 'molectro plating' per se, however I have used their sister company - altech anodizing for some aluminum. They did a good job.

I actually sent them an email a week ago and haven't heard back from them.

They've always answered the phone...sometimes emails don't make it.

I also have the luxury of being able to drive there in 15 minutes if I had to.

If you do, and were willing to take on a little outside job - let me know. I have some small parts that need it.

Nickel plating is 19th Century technology, but a lot will depend on what material your rings are. Don't know if Al takes nickel.
Rings won't require a shop with a PAL so you can look in the Yellow Pages. No smithy is necessary. Save you a lot of time and likely money just going to a metal plater.
