I have tried a lot of different units and these are the nicest I have found.

+3. I use Howard Leight electronic muffs over Surefire EarPro EP4 Sonic Defenders when indoors. I only use EP4 when shooting outdoors.yeah definite +2 on the double ears indoors.
I don't use the electronic sets at all, and I also double plug, even outdoors.
I actually notice the additional weight that the batteries and electronics add to the weight of the earmuff. I also don't want to hear anything that could be distracting when I'm shooting. Of course, I take my earmuffs off when I'm not actively on the line.
